Quill Falcon Hydrogen Cyclone 200
The world’s leading producer of sustainable fuels requested Quill Falcon to carry out a demonstration to assist them in their ongoing maintenance work around their Hydrogen plant.
Following the successful demonstration, the Quill Falcon Cyclone with its ATEX Gas Group IIB approval, was accepted for use during shut down of the plant. The customer however did not want to shut the plant down due to cost and time implications. Quill Falcon, therefore, set about achieving Gas Group IIC approval (equipment for use in atmospheres containing acetylene or hydrogen, or gases and vapours of equivalent hazard).
Quill Falcon successfully achieved the new IIC rating (CE EX II 2G EXh IIc T4 Gb) in the summer of 2024 and now supply the Quill Falcon Cyclone for use within live hydrogen plants.
